เจ้าชายน้อยเป็นนวนิยายที่มีชื่อเสียงมากที่สุดของอ็องตวน เดอ แซ็งแตกซูว์เปรี นักเขียนชาวฝรั่งเศส ตีพิมพ์ครั้งแรกในปี ค.ศ. 1943 อ็องตวน เดอ แซ็งแตกซูว์เปรีเขียนงานเขียนชิ้นนี้ขณะพำนักอยู่ที่นิวยอร์ก เจ้าชายน้อยถือได้ว่าเป็นหนังสือขายดีติดอันดับโลก นวนิยายชุดนี้ได้รับการจัดแปลกว่า 190 ภาษาและมียอดจำหน่ายกว่า 80 ล้านเล่มทั่วโลกในหลายประเทศได้มีการนำเอาเนื้อเรื่องจากหนังสือไปสร้างเป็นการ์ตูน ภาพยนตร์ ละครเวที อุปรากร และการแสดงรูปแบบอื่น ๆ
เจ้าชายน้อยได้ออกเดินทางเพื่อค้นหาถึงคุณค่าของมนุษย์โดยได้พบกับผู้คนมากหน้าหลากหลาย และเห็นพฤติกรรมที่ไร้คุณค่าอย่างแท้จริง จนกระทั่งมาพบกับคนจุดแสงตะเกียงที่ทำคุณประโยชน์ให้กับเพื่อนมนุษย์นี้เองที่ทำให้เจ้าชายน้อยเกิดความประทับใจ
